Welcome to Ms. Mac's Technology Class!
The 6th grade year of technology focuses on learning about the inside components of the computer, how it works as a system, and the process of simple programming. Students will be using a great deal of their note taking skills during the first half of the class. The second half is more hands on with learning the HyperLogo programming language.
I am very excited to have you in class and know that you will learn a lot!

Helpful Links  Facts on FileThis is a new educational database service for this year. IT IS GREAT!!!! You will need to get the username and password from Ms. O or Mrs. Nakano to access it from home. GalileoThis is an educational database provided by Georgia. You must have a password to access it. You can get the password from Ms. O'Brien, Mrs. Nakano, or Ms. McPherson. The password changes quarterly. For elementary students, please use the link K-12 that is in the upper right-hand corner. Kids DomainThis is the website to use to answer the questions for the worksheets I give in class for homework. Kidz OnlineThis website contains tons of information on internet safety. We will be using this website when we discuss viruses. Username: mmcpherson Password: warriors NettrekkerGreat educational database. You will need a username and password to access this from home. See Mrs. Pate or Mrs. Davis in the library for the access information. YahooligansThis is a kid-friendly search engine.
